Golden Lake to Barry's Bay Rail Line Trail
Renfrew County is vast in size yet there is little opportunity for off-road cycling, why is this so? What follows is a description of a 16.5km bike ride from Gorman Rd to Wilno along a former rail line which is now used mainly as a snowmobile trail. The goal was to reach Barry's Bay but soft sand ended the trip just west of Wilno necessitating a 24km return trip along Mountain View and Ruby roads.
